Muralist Robert Wyland has filed a $25 million lawsuit against FIFA and the owners of a Dallas building where his whale mural was painted over. The artwork was destroyed to make way for World Cup-related preparations.
Wyland claims the mural's removal violated his rights under the Visual Artists Rights Act. The lawsuit seeks damages for the loss of the large-scale public artwork.
